The epidural drape with transparent window is a sterile surgical drape specially designed for procedures requiring precise and secure access to the epidural or subarachnoid space.
Locoregional anesthesia
Epidural: For epidural analgesia during childbirth, cesarean section, or abdominal and orthopedic surgery. Spinal anesthesia: For subumbilical surgical procedures, such as hip replacements, cesarean sections, or lower limb surgeries.
Punctures and samples
Lumbar puncture: Taking a sample of cerebrospinal fluid for diagnosis (e.g. meningitis, multiple sclerosis). Injection of analgesics or corticosteroids: Treatment of chronic pain by epidural infiltration.
Pain management and interventional procedures
Epidural nerve block: Injection of local anesthetics or opioids to relieve post-operative or chronic pain. Intrathecal chemotherapy: Administration of anticancer drugs directly into the cerebrospinal fluid.
